Studio A’s ample space (25’X34′) and dual isolation booths are the perfect rooms for tracking your next project by providing excellent acoustical properties and optimal recording conditions. Furthermore, our experienced staff have been recording & mixing professionally for over 20+ years, which means you can be confident that we will be efficient in maximizing your time in the studio.

 

Mixing

Skylab’s mixing and mastering suite was designed for professional final production. Mix in a unique and detailed environment that will open your ears to sonic detail and imaging. Create mixes that not only translate accurately  into the open world, but that are properly mixed in preparation for the mastering process. Choose from multiple DAW host formats including Protools, Cubase, Wavelab, Logic Pro and Reason, to name a few. We support a large variety of plugins from Waves, UAD, Voxengo, Algothmix, Stephen Slate Digital, PSP, and more. When visiting this room, we invite you to bring some familiar recordings in order to experience what this room has to offer sonically.

 

Mastering

Audio mastering is one of the most critical, and often the most misunderstood processes in the production of audio recordings.  We offer many levels of mastering, from basic stereo mixdowns to multi-stemmed mastering, that are professional and affordable. Every project we master is approached with a clean slate. Every step, signal path and processing is carefully inserted on a “as needed” basis. This approach insures that every project receives only what it needs in order to retain clarity, warmth and dynamics while sounding full and open. You can choose to either attend or not attend the mastering session, its up to you. Attended or not, we will reveal subtle nuances and details in your music that will help bring them to life.

CD Duplication

We  offer assistance to many professionals, musicians, film makers and others that rely on CD and DVD duplications. We have professional relationships with reputable CD manufacturing companies such as Discmakers and Oasis CD and can help with submitting your masters.

Format Transfers/ Forensics Audio

We also specialize in the restoration and transferrring of audio and recordings on a wide range of formats.
