Studio A
Studio A features a 25′ X 40′ main room and two isolation booths with full floating oak hardwood floors, 2″ glass panel windows, and Triple sand filled walls. A room like this can make a world of difference in the overall sound of a recording. These features produce excellent acoustical properties as well as optimal recording conditions (very quiet, very natural, easy to manage). From full size bands to acoustic solo performers, Studio A was built for sound.
Control Room A
The Control room features floating floors, sand filled triple isolation walls, 2″ glass panel windows, a custom designed compression expansion ceiling and a separate isolated machine room. All of these features provide an extremely quiet and precise listening environment with enough room for everyone to get comfortable.
The back of the Control Room provides elevated seating and a separate talk-back mic to allow producers and other band members to communicate with ease during tracking. Complete studio visuals via 2″ glass panels further enhances communication with all artist at all times. Installed in this room is a customized GMS Series 5200 analog console modified with Neve design preamps and Penny & Giles faders.
Mastering Suite
Skylab’s mastering suite was designed with precision in order to offer our clients a very precise and relaxing mixing and mastering environment.We offer mixing, mastering, audio restoration, format transfers and forensics audio from many varying formats. Our goal is to optimize and preserve your music’s sonic value so that it consistently retains it’s clarity and punch regardless of what type of playback system it is played through.

Client Lounge
Skylab features a 12 x 20 client lounge with free Wi-Fi , small kitchen and dining area, as well as an outdoor patio for decompressing between takes or to simply enjoy some of the beautiful north Florida weather.
Your Room
When recording in Studio A, we encourage bands and artists to do what it takes to make the room feel as comfortable as possible. Feel free to bring in props from your practice rom if it will make you feel more at home while tracking. Load-in times are scheduled to take place before the session begins which is the perfect time to get the room looking the way you want it to.
